IN THE NEWS Fossil hunters have uncovered the remains of a one ton rat. The rodent would have been roughly the size of an economy car and its head alone would have been larger than a cow! Discovered in Uruguay, the behemoth rat is thought to have inhabited the ancient swamplands of South America. As our Larger Organisms in the Past page makes clear, the primeval earth was a place of bigger and healthier creatures than those alive today. The story of the fossils is one of degeneration over the eons, not evolution. RECENTLY ADDED TO THE PARK There have been numerous additions and updates to our Ancient Depictions page, including a jade dragon from China that bears a striking resemblance to a Saurolophus Dinosaur.
